BIOGRAPHY

Architect, exhibitions’ manager, director of Venice Design Week, this last experience started in 2010 in Venice. After graduating in architecture and a masters degree in management and communication of cultural heritage at the Normale di Pisa she was responsible for the communication and promotion online in different communication agencies.
She deals today with wearable technologies for organizing the contest within the venetian design festival.

TECHNOLOGY ON PERSON AND FOR THE PERSON.

INTRODUCTION TO THE SECOND EDITION OF THE CONTEST “WEARABLE TECHNOLOGIES 2017” ORGANIZED BY VENICE DESIGN WEEK.

The Venice Design Week invites the creatives to imagine which accessories will be part of our future, starting from the concept that the technology required to produce textiles, garments, shoes, and accessories that we wear everyday is a technology searching for high performances. Companies which work in the sport environment usually search for high quality accessories and they push at high levels the design of everything about sportswear.

The technology is seen as a wide term not only for devices but also for technical material which facilitate our interaction with the external environment.

The contest committee is made up of medical and sport designers, of design  representatives of international institutes, and of two museum directors: Mr Squarcina of Museo del Tessuto e Costume di Venezia and Mr Zandonella of Museo dell’occhiale di Pieve di Cadore. The contest has the patronage of ADI (Associazione Design Industriale) and it obtains the collaboration of Business Angels for Grow association, which will help the projects to examine deeply the aspects for loaning the researches and the promotion of the projects. In addition of that it activated collaborations with WTT and Technology Hub di Milano, in order to broadcast and analyze the content of the contest.

Wearable Technologies is a contest opened to designers and companies. The main goal is to divulgate its products and it works also for labs exercises at University level on product design course.
